Eco Village and its community responsibility.

Based on social responsibility, Eco Village Huzurikanda has several programs that serve the community for better living. In 1998 a Bangladeshi student in Germany broke his studies for a semester and came to this village to run some community programs like health support and school programs. Since then he has raised funds in Germany to establish a long term program with the local villagers. After many years of joint work with the villagers Eco Village established a pre-school, a daycare for disabled children, a pre primary school and health center with eye care. Besides organic agriculture Eco Village has a Cooperative with the women of several villages. The Woman Cooperative is active in small groups and entrepreneurship.
